Misdaadfilm van Kevin Connolly (Dear Eleanor; Entourage) met in de hoofdrol John Travolta naast Kelly Preston en Spencer Lofranco. Het verhaal is gebaseerd op de memoires van John Gotti Jr, zoon van de beruchte New Yorkse maffiabaas John Gotti Sr (1940-2002). Gotti werd in de jaren 1970 lid van de Gambinofamilie, waarvan hij later de baas werd. Hij kreeg de bijnaam ‘Teflon Don’, omdat hij lange tijd wist te ontsnappen aan strafzaken. De Amerikaanse recensenten zijn kritisch. Peter Debruge (variety.com) vindt dat de film Gotti teveel ophemelt en Gotti en vooral diens zoon vrijpleit: ‘(…) the movie doesn’t go so far as to insist that Dad was innocent (although, apart from his role in a couple of hits, it depicts none of the crimes for which he was ultimately convicted: racketeering, loan sharking, illegal gambling, obstruction of justice, bribery of a public official and tax fraud), but it does try to exonerate Junior.
