About Conn Iggulden

Connor Iggulden (; born (1971-02-24)24 February 1971) is a British author who writes historical fiction, most notably the Emperor series and Conqueror series. He also co-authored The Dangerous Book for Boys along with his brother Hal Iggulden. In 2007, Iggulden became the first person to top the UK fiction and non-fiction charts at the same time.


Born in 1971 to an English father (who was an RAF pilot during the Second World War, ) and Irish mother (whose grandfather was a seanchaí). He went to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary in Ruislip, Middlesex, then attended St Martins School in Northwood, before moving on to Merchant Taylors' School.
