Vijftig korte verhaaltjes van 2 à 3 bladzijden over kabouter Plop die met zijn kaboutervriendjes alledaagse en vooral grappige dingen beleeft. Het taalgebruik is eenvoudig en wollig: kwebbberdekweb, plopperdeplop etc., wellicht kaboutertaal? De t.v.-serie is populair, maar dit boekje maakt een wat oubollige indruk. De uitgave is ruimschoots geïllustreerd met karikaturale tekeningen in zwart-wit die uitnodigen om in te kleuren. Het kleine formaat, de kleurige omslag en de ruime lay-out zijn aantrekkelijk voor iets gevorderde, weinig eisende lezertjes én voorlezers! Vanaf ca. 4 jaar.

Gert Tony Hubert Verhulst (born 24 January 1968 in Berchem) is a Belgian presenter, entrepreneur, singer,director, actor, screenwriter, composer, film producer, and business magnate. As a prominent figure within the children's entertainment industry in the Benelux, he is regarded as a Flemish cultural icon, known for his influence and contributions to children's entertainment in the Benelux and founder of Studio 100.

Life and career

Verhulst claims he knew at very early age that he wanted to become famous. In 1987 he applied at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp where he was rejected, he would recall this as a gift from Heaven. Later that year he got his first job at the former BRTN (now VRT) as continuity announcer.
