Tweede seizoen van een miniserie van National Geographic over het Godsbeeld in de wereld. Gepresenteerd door Morgan Freeman die in de film 'Bruce almighthy' God al eens vertolkte en met zijn stem ontegenzeggelijk een soort wijze autoriteit uitdraagt. In de programma's reist Freeman over de wereld en stelt hij de grote levensvragen. In dit seizoen: Wie is de uitverkorene? Wat zijn de hemel en de hel? Hoe past God in onze moderne samenleving? Hij vraagt het aan christenen, joden, moslims, hindoes, boeddhisten etc. De serie ziet er gelikt uit: mooie mensen, fraaie landschappen, stijlvolle slow-motions en een reizende Freeman in taxi's en vliegtuigen. Morgan Freeman (born June 1, 1937) is an American actor, director, and narrator. He has appeared in a range of film genres portraying character roles and is particularly known for his distinctive deep voice. Freeman is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Freeman was raised in Mississippi where he began acting in school plays. He studied theatre arts in Los Angeles and appeared in stage productions in his early career. He rose to fame in the 1970s for his role in the children's television series The Electric Company. Freeman then appeared in the Shakespearean plays Coriolanus and Julius Caesar, the former of which earned him an Obie Award.
