Een Engelse misdaadfilm uit 2005 van Nick Love met in de hoofdrol Danny Dyer, die ook de hoofdrol had in Love's eerdere film, The football factory. Hoofdpersoon is de jonge Londense Frankie, die een 'pakketje' wegbrengt naar Charlie, een misdadiger en playboy aan de Spaanse Costa del Sol. Frankie is al snel helemaal opgenomen in diens wereld van vrouwen, geld, drugs en geweld. Het verhaal speelt in de jaren tachtig en zit vol muziek en oufits uit die periode. Paul Arendt (BBC Movies, i) is enthousiast over de aantrekkelijke regie, de ironie en het jaren tachtig-gevoel en concludeert: '(...) In all, it's an impressive take on a familiar genre.' De dvd bevat geen exra's.

About Nick Love

Nick Love (born 24 December 1969) is an English film director and writer. His credits include the films The Football Factory, The Business, Goodbye Charlie Bright, Outlaw, The Sweeney, and a 2009 remake of football hooliganism drama The Firm.

Career

Love attended the Bournemouth Film School at the age of 24.

Love wrote and directed The Football Factory in 2004. The film was based on a book by John King.

In 2005, Love directed the film The Business, which reflects the 1980s Costa Del Crime era. It was all taken from what he had read and heard from others about that particular time. In 2007, Love produced the vigilante movie Outlaw.
